HIFU SKIN TIGHTENING

One of the most common searches online is “effective anti-ageing treatment”. Saggy skin is an obvious telltale sign of our age and makes one look tired all the time.

What causes our skin to sag? Very often, it occurs as a result of fat loss.

The deterioration of collagen and elastin as we age is another common cause of saggy skin. While saggy skin is often associated with our ageing process, it also happens to those who suffer sudden, significant weight loss.

What is HIFU?

HIFU is the abbreviation for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. The technology offers non-invasive, yet effective, facelift. Thus, making it an effective and comfortable anti ageing treatment. Scinn’s HIFU Skin Tightening treatment uses ultrasound to stimulate the production of collagen. This, in turn, leads to skin firming, tightening, and lifting.

Ultrasound beams of HIFU equipment in Singapore target skin layers below the skin surface without causing damages to the upper layers of the skin. Therefore, HIFU treatments typically have little to zero downtime.

HOW?

Like a surgical facelift, HIFU treatment targets the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) layer without the need to cut through the skin surface. Rather, the ultrasound energy penetrates the skin at a depth of 4.5mm, 3mm, and 1.5mm to lift the tighten the skin at these 3 layers. It is comparable to treatments such as Thermage and Ultherapy where heat energy is delivered to targeted depths of the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production for the skin to develop its natural ability to tighten and lift over a period of 2 to 3 months.

WHAT CAN HIFU TREAT?

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound or HIFU treatment, can be applied to areas such as under chin, jawline, neck, nasolabial folds, forehead, and eyelids, amongst other facial regions.

Scinn Medical Centre offers HIFU treatment in Singapore with price starting from $690. Speak to our doctor to understand what is right for you.

How It Works

Step 1

We utilize the HIFU technology with 3 different transducers to deliver concentrated waves of ultrasound energy into the 3 different layers of your skin/body tissues without affecting the surrounding areas.
This triple layers lifting effects focused on the upper dermis, lower dermis, and superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) of your skin.
Utilizing the clinically proven technology, we seek to address these concerns for our patients.

Step 2

The ultrasound energy will heat up the deep targeted area to a temperature of between 65 to 75 degrees celsius, without having to cut or disrupt the skin’s surface.
This process triggers and stimulates the production of new collagen, as well as the tightening of the SMAS layer which are vital for achieving desired skin tightening and lifting effects.

Step 3

Skin is firmed and lifted up as new collagen is generated. Over the next couple of months, you will notice visible improvements to your skin and this will typically last 6 to 12 months, subject to an individual’s skin condition.
